I finally finished The Devil Wears Prada after two months of attempting to devour every page before unexpectedly sleeping. I started reading around the time Marching Band season has came into force. And as everyone knows, Marching Band takes so much time out of schedules, it’s hard to do every day normal, teenager stuff – like read a critically acclaimed book that someone wrote who grew up about an hour away from where you live. That sort of thing, well in my world, actually.
Andrea Sachs (the main character for those of you who live in a rock) is the epitome of how I live my life, every waking day. Quite honestly, I do live with the devil – who wears Prada, and pretty much any designer you could think of. I don’t want to say that person’s name, or else she’ll loose clients. But some day, I would like to relive the breaking moment on how Andrea became fired from the job a million girls would die for!
Fuck you Miranda, fuck you. You really gotta love that line!
Even though I should really stop sweating this, but how I presented myself at the FIRST Key Club meeting was terrible to the ninth power. Not only did I not stay still (I kept walking, fidgeting, and shaking while talking) but I also slurred up my words, gave unnecessary information (about my whole UPS ordeal), and said things I would of never say.
“I’m a nice person. Do you think I’m nice?” How the hell did I manage to conjure up such a stupid phrase?! Thankfully, I have more than enough time to come up with my informative, yet entertaining (maybe?) Treasurer’s report. With any luck, I can say the amount of money correctly without moving, or speaking about UPS boxes.
In other news, Stroudsburg won their first football game of the season. I was glad that I was able to witness it, but felt sorry for the sweet Jewish Stroudsburgian Marching Band players who couldn’t. Hopefully their Yom Kippur was more satisfying that our Pocono Mountain East win. Oh, and in 18 years our Band director didn’t even come to this game. He also won’t be able to attend Tuesday’s practice either. Perhaps I could take that to my advantage and finally watch the season premier of Gossip Girls that has been sitting on my TiVo “Now Playing list” for the past couple days. Okay, I’m kidding. I won’t take that to my advantage because I’m going to watch it now…
P.S. Seriously, why would I miss Marching Band practice? I nearly fell during our pre-game show due to my recent absences. Shun me.
