I stopped procrastinating on my assignments. I had a five page narrative essay due last Friday. I literally started on it on the same day and finished it the next week. I was proud that I didn't have to be up until 2am in the morning working on it.
I get to go see my surgeon tomorrow at 6pm for a check-up. Hopefully I'll be early for Marching Band since I do not want to be late... you know how band directors are.
I got two books from the library during gym, I mean Physical Education, since I cannot participate (Surgeon’s orders!). One of the books was from Mandy’s “summer” reading list, which is Out of Africa by Isak Dinesen and the other is The Authorized Biography of T.E. Lawrence by Jeremy Wilson.
I’m almost done with The Devil Wears Prada. Yesss. I swear the Devil Wears Prada is my life story... just minus the Brown University diploma, the cigarette addiction, the hot, intellectual boyfriend, and the job [a million girls will die for]! However, I do live with Miranda Priestly... *wink*
Today was a great day. I love my life and the people inside it (despite the daily doses of medication, and the itchy bandages.)

In other news, I applied as a Key Leader student facilitator for the upcoming Key Leadership Weekend in October. If accepted, I get to basically lead a group of high school students and promote my Communist Secret Society... just kidding. But I hope I get accepted. If not, failures are just opportunities in disguise, after all.
Now I really need to study for that AP Government and Politics quiz tomorrow!!!
