Yesss!

So I am in the mood to write a blog entry. Which is actually pretty good since I really do need to keep up with this thing.

I love being back at school. I love my room, being busy, being a nerd, and actually getting money for doing things that I love. I am at the USG office right now so I don't feel like pulling up the 30 day challenge thing. I might just add another entry later tonight when I get back to my room.

School is going well. I love being back. (Wow, I almost typed "I love being black.") I love how I don't rely on my mom (or anyone, for that matter) for transportation to clubs and such. I can just go on my own. I do have a problem with being a tad bit late to things. I can work that.

Classes so far are going great. I love my schedule. I love how I can basically graduate early with two majors. I am actually considering to stay at the college I am in now and just graduating with the Class of 2012. I need to declare my majors to the registrar and find an adviser. I already have an idea on who it is going to be. I love having no class on Fridays. However, I know that next semester, I most likely will considering the mandatory history class is only on Wednesdays and Fridays. Bummer.

Anyways, I might go along with the music minor. It is going to be tough considering I am not sure how I am going to fit in it my schedule but having already taken some music courses, I think I will be fine with it.

Speaking of music, marching band is going alright. I love the repertoire. I still haven't memorized my parts since it's kind of awkward. There isn't really a pattern for some pieces. It kind of jumps to having Bass 1 for the 8th notes, then it'll be Bass 2 with the 8th notes for two measures, etc. It's weird but with more practice, I think I'll be good. We also started a new cadence. It sounds very ghetto fabulous, if you ask me. Maybe I'll try to put a recording of it sometime.

Another musical group I am in is Lehigh. I might not do it this year. Why? Because my director refuses to put me on the percussion section, even after he told me he will. It really bothers me because I want to play percussion in a more different setting that I am used to. I love playing the cello and all, but I want to try new things. I might leave Lehigh and do Celtic Ensemble. I need to think this over a bit and talk with many people as if they were in my position.

But I think I should go... for now.

Until next time..
