It's about 1:30 in the morning and I am not tired at all. It's kind of weird because I am searching for school work to work on, but there is just reading that I know will be pointless....(or maybe not.)
I am pretty happy right now, but I chose to put on Flyleaf's "I'm so Sick." Oh and now, Paramore's "Emergency" just came on. I swear, I'm not upset or anything. Though, I am sick of a couple things and I feel that there are some emergencies in my life that I need to take care of...but I'm a procrastinator, but whatever.
SO MUCH has happened and I don't feel the need to press on them all...
But I had my first game with the Lehigh University Marching 97. They are a BUTTLOAD of fun! It's kind of funny because they put me on snare and I'm not really good at snare, but with Cynthia's help from pedagogy last year, I am getting better. It's just amazing that three years later (from joining marching band) I am part of the snare line. And believe it or not, I'm the only girl snare too! My first practice (9/10/2010) was interesting because I felt like the new, awkward girl in town. But seriously everyone is really nice and welcoming, it's nice.
What else....I decided to stick with the Lehigh Philharmonic. I missed playing cello. I have percussion everywhere else, I guess.
Saturday going into Sunday (9/11 - 9/12) I ended up in the right place at the wrong time with my game of Apples to Apples. Needless to say, I am happy to still be alive and not vomit. Overall, I am giggly when it comes to drinking a lot of orange juice... That's all I am going to say!
Classes are going swell. I can't complain about anything. Activities are hectic, yet exciting. Oh, I can finally say that I am Vice President of something, which is kinda cool. (VP of Dorm Council, which I am SO EXCITED for because that's one of the organizations that I am very passionate about since it delegates around Moravian's South Campus community.) I mean.. I am passionate about everything (ask B-Hat lol) but I really love South Campus and I really want to show the whole student body that SC is awesome!
Speaking about the student body, I think I am going to change the election rules of USG. So I heard that back in the day (say... the 70's), Moravian students who wished to be part of USG had to be voted by the student body. However, our student body president appoints many positions. I understand that some positions need to be appointed, such as the executive positions, but I do not feel that the senator positions should be appointed, especially before the election...Maybe I am not understanding something. Who knows.
Oh I figured out my future =P
- Graduate from college with a double major in International Relations and History, with a minor in music.
- Be a journalist for a few years.
- Then..get my Masters in Music Education at Northwestern University (can you believe you can get this degree in a year? For me, however, it'll take like a million years because I have shitty aural skills.)
^^Subject to change (since I have to talk to someone from Northwestern and ask if I would need a BM in Music Ed. first.. that would suck... lol)
And sprinkle getting married to you-know-who and having a baby (or more than that) sprinkled in. haha I mean, I just want to direct marching band gosh darn it, but apparently I would need a music ed. degree. If I start a music ed degree now, I would be so far behind.
With all this talk of music, I really want to go and practice my cello. But nope....
United Student Government retreat in the morning. Then marching band exhibition.... then work at 9pm.
I'm still debating on whether or not I should go to the Philadelphia Zoo for $10 when I could be working on school work.... hmm... choices. Whatever. Time to finish my mini-chocolate donuts and read until I fall asleep!!
