So I had too much sleep, but that's okay considering my "condition." If you don't know what my condition is, don't worry about it. It's not that important.
I woke up around 10:30am, but went back to sleep after I read Georgetown Cupcake's free flavor on my cellphone. It was good, but with my condition and all, I was lazy. Going back to sleep just made everything worse because I had the craziest dream ever. It dealt with the metro, a friend from fifth grade, the Smithsonian, schoolwork, and my college's student body president. I don't even want to talk about it because it made no sense and I really don't want to know the meaning of it, thank you very much. It was just too crazy beyond belief and it's NEVER going to happen! haha
Anyways, I am currently at Georgetown University's library and I don't know why, but I tend to write blog entries here. Okay, I only wrote one previously, but hey, it feels good to write here. It actually looks like I'm doing work, but in a way I'm not because this isn't academic at all. (Maybe it is to some people. Who knows. But if you do think it's considered academic, you need help. Just kidding! Different strokes for different folks, right?)
My Fourth of July was filled with lots of food and blisters. It was great seeing my family. Unfortunately, they chose a restaurant RIGHT on Pennsylvania Ave and since the White House area was mostly blocked off... I had a hard time trying to get there considering the blockade. To make matters worse, the bus driver I had was a new bus driver. (He had a small piece of paper with the stops he had to make.) So according to the Metro Trip Planner, one of the stops would have been .06 of a mile away from the restaurant. Stupid me didn't write that part down so I was opt to ask the driver. He told me to get off of K street and walk through Pennsylvania Ave. Oh well. It's over now and the only remnants I have of the day are my blisters.
Being with my family was really nice. I haven't seen most of them in about four years or so. It's been a while. They are all really funny and somewhat perverted. One of my close family friends even said, "That's what she said." haha I got to know one of my aunts really well from that day. I got to know little interesting facts about them as well. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see them again, considering they live in Maryland.
The restaurant was really good. Lechon (aka pig) was served and unfortnately, my family wasn't fond of it. They are used to the really good kind of pig. It was an Asian restaurant, of course. And by the looks of it, all the chefs were caucasian. However, there is an Asian chef that comes in on Sundays (the day we were there) but no sign of him. We sat right in front of where the chefs make the food (but not all in the restaurant could see, we had a good seat so we were able to see them.) But it's fine, I didn't notice a difference.
With all this talk of food, I'm getting really hungry for more Asian food. Hmm I should stop by some Asian market and get Thai Iced Tea. I don't know why, but I have an odd obsession with it. It's kind of bizarre really because I wasn't a fan of it before.
23 more days until B-Hat!!!
I should get some laundry done too. I'm all out of wegie free underwears. (Yes, I said it.)
