I realized that I haven't been posting enough. I did have a swell record of blog entries during the month of February, however when Spring comes, everything, as it seems, is becoming less enjoyable. Usually, in my case, the Spring days are utterly depressing. It's been like that every year for me; especially on the month of April. Everything that is bad always happens in the month of April. From death, to exceedingly poor grades, from rejection, to just some sort of disappointment that will bother me for days to come. I'm trying my best to make April a good month for me. But with just two days in, it's getting worse.
Lots have happened, I suppose. Bill Clinton came to my school on the 19th of March. As nerdy as it sounds, it was honestly one of the best days of my life. My marching band played a couple pep songs here and there and Billy-Bill took notice of that and called us out. It was wonderful. Also, I was fortunate enough to shake his hand! Sadly, the Bill Clinton aura has washed off my right hand very long ago.
Hmmm what else? Oh right. FBLA States. My team didn't receive a top ten spot. However, Stroudsburg won many awards. Great for us.
I've learned that no matter how enjoyable an educational trip is, the most important part are the people around you. FBLA states proved that. Sure, I had fun here and there, but there were moments that the people whom I was around, lowered the enjoyable factor. It's a part of life, sadly. I can't change the people around me, but I change who I'm with. I just need to find the good people. They're out there. I just know.
Other than that, I'm excited for the summer. I cannot wait to get out of this labyrinth. Only problem is: How?
