Does anybody remember last year when it was June 6, 2006 and literally 20% of the people I saw in the streets thought the world was going to end? Well, thankfully that didn’t occur.
But since today is July 7, 2007, many people believe that this day will bring them extreme happiness – finding love, getting a raise, winning the lottery, finally conceiving a baby, you name it.
However, maybe this whole number jumbo scenario is just another one of those superstitions we cling to; some kind of panacea that is simply just a relieving factor that says, “Everything is alright” and gives us something to look forward to.
Whatever it is, it’s working.
