This may sound a bit demanding, but if you are ever friends with me or date me or whatever, really, DO NOT call me beautiful. Or pretty, gorgeous, sexy, cute, etc. You're probably thinking "What the hell? Don't all girls like being called that?" No, not me.
It bothers me because I hate being noted on how I am physically. We live in such a visual society that many people focus on how a person looks, instead of knowing who they really are. I hate that. Sometimes, I wish that everyone wore masks so everyone else won't judge on how someone looks like, but instead get to know them personality wise. I wish life was more like that. But with the media fucking everything up, it seems that's what a lot of people cling to.
I sometimes envision myself living in a place where everyone has masks that all look the same (except indicating whether or not they are a female or male), and have the same female or male outfits. Kind of bizarre to think of, but it's my delusion. Leave it alone. I kind of feel that life won't be so physical and everything is focused on one pure thing... the heart of a person. That's what makes a person special, to me, at least.
Damn notable people and their Photoshop. Seriously, what's so wrong with being real? I never knew having a couple freckles and wrinkles was such a crime these days. I suppose I should be arrested by the Pretty Police because I could seriously give two shits about these types of things. Especially People's yearly issue of "100 most beautiful people." Instead, that should be called, "100 most celebrities that appear pretty much everywhere but y'all get enough of them, right?!." They are mostly actors, actresses, and singers that appear on these things. Not normal, average Joes that walk across Main Street. To me, it seems as if they are drilling in the minds of readers that everyone should aspire to be as "pretty" as these celebrities. The media is so brainwashing these days.
OH, and I seriously hate how celebrities and athletes get paid so much more than our true heroes: soldiers, doctors, firefighters... teachers. Not everyone can perform open heart surgery, have the balls to battle terrorists, save some one's life in a fire, or teach calculus. But no offense, but anyone can really play baseball or basketball or act stupid. Seriously people. I wish I could pay homage to these more influential jobs. A simple "Thank you" is pretty much all they want, I guess.
To me, one of the best things a person can tell me is how nice or great of a person I am. Not how beautiful. I see a lot of girls aspire to be pretty. I wish there were more who just want to be smart.
That'll be awesome.
