Poems written by a bored AP English student

It's unedited. So cheers.

Sonnet about Haphazard Thoughts in English Class
Sitting here in English class,
I'm about to fall asleep on my ass.
All I hear is information about poems.
Sometimes I feel like building some gnomes.
I cannot wait to go home,
so I can read my book all-alone.
The school day is almost over.
Ah shit, I won't get my license until November.
Everything in this sonnet is pretty random.
Sometimes, you may think you're reading a conundrum.
Those last two verses didn't really rhyme.
Eh, at least it didn't taste like lime.
I feel all dazed to the point where I can only hear a bee.
But oh no, Mr. Mell just called on me!

An Ode to Borders
I am walking through the cold night.
Hopefully I won't get into a fist fight.
After eight blocks of walking,
I see old men talking.
I come across Columbus Circle,
too bad I won't see Steve Urkel.
I'm at the home of CNN at last.
Meeting Anderson Cooper was just a day in the past.
I walk inside the mall,
I hope I don't endure a great fall.
I take the escalator to the third floor.
Here I am, into a wondrous lore.
I walk inside and find a book.
There are so many choices, so many titles, it's hard to look!
I found one and sat down.
I started reading and my mind is in a peculiar town.
After a few hours, I put the book aside,
No more reading about Jekyll & Hyde.
It's getting late and I'm about to leave,
I just realized I'm leaving Borders on Christmas Eve!
