My unamed Manikin

Before I go and run to the living room and watch some beautifully recorded Oprah (Thank God for TiVo), I'm conducting a survey.

No, it's not wether or not you had sex this past month or done any drugs either.

It has to do with weird habits that many people I know still do today.

Have you ever named an inanimate object? And when you talk about it to other people, they automatically think it's a living person? You then respond, "Oh no. Don Juan is my cello."

I brought up the subject of Project Runway with Ulric and the things the designers use.

I was pretty devoted to Project Runway that my mum scurried to the attic and literally gave me a similar version of the clothing manikins from the show. It was pretty cool, although I never used it. It was more like a decorative piece to my room.

Ulric suggested I should name it. I sort of agreed to the idea since I had a penchant of naming things already. My junior high cellos were named Clay and Sparkles. (Can it get any more gay?)

My stand partner, Matt named my troll key-chain. I don't remember the name though. All I remember was laughing hysterically on the first day of school.

Ulric wants to name my dark gray manikin Topenga, from Boy Meets World. I remember that show. That show reminds me of the moment while going up on the ski lifts with my ski instructor as a 9-year-old. To past the time, she was asking me what shows I watched. I forgot what my answer was. I asked her the same question. "Boy Meets World,” she responded. That’s where I remember the name, Topenga from.

I also want to name the manikin Petunia. According to my handy dandy book of names my mum bought when she was in desperate need of a good name to name my sister (Chloe)... okay never mind. I can’t find Petunia in the book. Whatever.

Which name would you name your clothing manikin that you never used, but only in a decorative sense?

SO FAR:::

TOPENGA - 3
PETUNIA - 1
