Mrs. Pat Rufe
FBLA Adviser
Stroudsburg High School
Stroudsburg PA, 18360
Dear Mrs. Rufe:
I would like to apply for the position of Reporter of Stroudsburg High School’s chapter of FBLA. I believe I would make a well-qualified Reporter because I know I will fulfill all the requirements of this job efficiently and will meet any set deadlines. I am very organized, reliable, funny, and immensely approachable, which I believe a successful Reporter should embody.
I’ve been involved in FBLA ever since I was a freshman. During November of 2006, I and other students from Stroudsburg attended the National Fall Leadership Conference at East Brunswick, New Jersey. There, I learned the fundamentals and the keys secrets of successful businesses that not only motivated me to become a better member of FBLA, but it also guided me in various tasks that I’ve completed in a timely manner. I have also participated in countless fund-raising activities such as selling chocolates. Even though I haven’t done a lot in FBLA, I am applying for this position so I can fully contribute to the best of my abilities and truly add a new and interesting part to FBLA as Reporter.
In addition to my commitment to FBLA, I am a very active member in all of my extra curricular activities. I’m a member of Model Congress where I’ve taken the leadership role as Freshman Representative last year. Also, I am a member of Stroudsburg High School’s Orchestra, Key Club, Mock Trial, Scholastic Scrimmage, Peer Mediation, Students Against Destructive Decisions, and Track. Balancing many activities in and out of school and undertaking difficult tasks has earned me the responsibility and the passion I have for what I love to do. I assure you, and all the members of Stroudsburg High School’s chapter of FBLA that I will guarantee a successful year as the Reporter.
Sincerely,
Emmellene Usera

All of this was BEFORE Mrs. Rufe told me I should run for Parliamentarian... So I'm running for that.
