Family Wars

I remember when I was about five years old , I would watch television 24/7.

Saved by the bell, Full house and the local news. (It's not like I had a choice either, considering my teenage uncle, at the time, and my grandma had control of the remote.) Back then, sitcoms showed families that were perfect, normal. Think 7th Heaven & Full House.

But in 2006, watching Oprah and the Simpsons, families are now being portrayed as dysfunctional and a bit insane.

Thanks to reality TV, we can witness the lunacy from average American families.

Personally, I really enjoy it. Considering my family is just the same way. Dysfunctional and always caught up into their differences.

Just now, I got an email from my mother Charlene. In a way, she was sort of bad mouthing her sister (my aunt, of course) Grace.

I don't know what's up but everytime I see them together in a public place such as a restaurant, they don't fight. But when it's behind doors and when they are talking to me separately, it's a whole different story.

They are constatly saying, "Oh I hate her" or "She's sooo stupid!" It can get really annoying after a while. It's always the same thing too. "Oh I hate her" or "She's sooo stupid!"

It also makes me laugh seeing the two of them together at some family gathering. Like the 2005 Miss ISA pageant, featuring me as the newly elected Miss Teen ISA.

They posed for pictures and what not. But I would catch behind their breath a sudden "bitch".

I don't know why they are constantly arguing about the most dumbest things. It makes me want to have a better relationship with my sister, Chloe.

But as of right now, our relationship is really close and deep. I don't think we'll ever fight as much as both my aunt and mother does.

Eventhough Chloe likes to mess up my room with make-up and steal my collectors edition Barbie Dolls.
